I spent the last weekend in California visiting all my friends and it was nothing short of amazing. Started it all off with some karaoke which was pretty great. Performed the hell out of "Hey Jealousy" with my wonderful friend Josh. We we're getting ready to do "Tiny Dancer" as a second performance but there was a conspiracy against us so they never called or names again. We'll be back though and we'll be ready to sing Tiny Dancer better than sir Elton ever could. Saw the New Frontiers play on Sunday at the Troubador which is always a great night. Overall, the weekend was the best one I've had since I was living in Long Beach. I got to spend time with the best friends that I will EVER have. I almost murdered my liver in the process but I guess that's all part of the experience huh? It's not called alcoholism until after you're done with school. Keep that in mind. But in all seriousness, this weekend really did remind me of just how amazing all of my friends are. I truly feel like the luckiest person in the world right now. I have to keep up with these frequent visits otherwise I might go insane.
Most people would say they are fairly excited for school to start back up but I am definitely not. School starts for me in four days and I am not mentally prepared at all. Hopefully this attitude will change soon considering I'm about to be entering my busiest and most difficult semester so far.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Movies:
Step Brothers- Maybe this is just me, but I thought this was the funniest Will Ferrel movie since Anchorman. The plot was still pretty weak just like Taladega Nights, Blades of Glory, and Semi-Pro but there was something about this movie that made me laugh all the way through. I can't wait to see it again actually. I was just watching some deleted scenes from the movie on Funny or Die and it's cracking me up. Here's one that was complete improv. Incredible.

Pineapple Express- I was pretty disappointed in this one. Not to say that I had high expectations, but I thought it would be a smarter movie than it actually was.
TV:
Entourage- I just got through season 3. This show gets better and better each season. I can't wait till season 4 comes to DVD.
30 Rock: I just got hooked on this show last weekend. Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin alone are worth the watch. This show is really funny.
X-Files: So I'm not sure if I will succeed, but I am planning on watching the entire series in order. I started watching a few episodes and I forgot how creepy everything is! The them song/video along scares the bejesus out of me.
Doug: So it appears that the hit show from our childhood, Doug, is now on Itunes. You can buy the entire first season. I normally don't buy any shows or movies on Itunes but I just might have to make an exception.
Boy Meets World: Oh yes, it looks as if Boy Meets World is back in the works for getting season 4 and the remaining seasons out on DVD. I can't put into words how excited I am about this news.
Music:
Tegan & Sara- I have always been a fan of T&S but I have just finally gotten around to listening to their latest album, "The Con", and I really enjoy it! It's a tip toe in a different directions for them while still maintaining that essence that everyone loves about them.
The Black Kids- I had been feeling guilty for not buying a CD on a whim for the longest time so I finally did it with this one. I like the single so I said, "fuck it", and bought the whole CD. turned out to be a pretty bad idea. I found the rest of the album to be pretty boring.
